- cruise companies and their ships are registered in the places they actually operate, not in offshore tax havens and 'flags of convenience' countries with no regulation ... otherwise no entry to Venice, Sydney, Cape Town etc;
- staff on these ships have decent pay and conditions of work;
- companies are financially liable for any health issues they 'externalise' onto countries they visit;
- ships are smaller in both size and environmental impact.
